The worst part is, I was going to propose to her the following weekend that she dumped meSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I was dumped six months ago by a woman I was severely in love with. She went back to an ex-boyfriend she hadn't had contact with in three years. She had a long relationship between me and him which lasted two years. I have been having seriously problems getting over her. She found out he attempted suicide after they broke up the first time. She too, attempted suicide in her past, but not about him. When she found this out, she told me before she broke up with me. But I never thought this would be a reason to go back to someone. The worst part is, I was going to propose to her the following weekend that she dumped me. I don't know what to do. I have talked to everyone I know, have gone to therapy, read countless books on the subject, and just don't know where to go. I have tried to date, taken long trips, and I even wear a rubberband and snap it every time I think of her. I have tried to maintain contact with her, but she won't respond to anything. What can I do to get her back? What can I do to get on with my life? I have really tried. Our Suggestion: You have done everything possible, including private counseling sessions, to try to get over this girl. You must convince yourself that it is over or be prepared to suffer many more months. Perhaps that is acceptable to you and if so then proceed in that direction. Sometimes suffering is the only way to get rid of the pain. Best of luck to you! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
