Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I am in love with a girl in my college. I think she likes me but I am not sure. When I see her she always waves at me and says hello and talks to me. As she is Chinese, I asked her if she would like to go the Mid-Autumn festival at the weekend. She said she wasn't interested in the festival, but she didn't say anything about a boyfriend or cut me off, and when I asked her, she actually took a step closer to me. Does this mean that she likes me? I really want to ask her out, but I don't know how to do it. I have read the advice on your site, but she is from China and her culture is different. How should I do it, keeping in mind that her dating customs are probably very different from ours.

Our Suggestion:
Since you are on speaking terms, tell her you really like her but don't know how to tell her using Chinese customs.

This will give her the message loud and clear and also give her a chance to talk about her customs and maybe give you an answer about how she feels about you.

Tell her you would like to go on a date with her... a walk, dinner, movie, or whatever.

Something should come out of these talks and hopefully it is something good.
