My ex called me tonight we chatted like buddy buddy. Seems like she doesnt want a relationship right now. Which i am comfortable with for now, shes got college on the mind and i got things to do. Dont get me wrong i still miss her. But i guess i can do things that i wouldnt be able to do before when i was with her. What i am going to ask is will this friendship bud or stay stale and just be friends? if i did move on and get another girl i am pretty sure we wouldnt be friends. And would that hit her that i am gone?

You really have the situation close to what you want it to be.

You are friends with your ex and call and enjoy each other. It is possible that the relationship will grow back again but don't count on it.

And if either of you find someone else, there will probably be a piece of regret that goes along with it.
