Visitor's Question:
When she says she needs time, what is she really saying?

Our Suggestion:
Asking for time usually indicates some problem in the relationship.

It means that she is caught up in the whirl of life with you in it and can't think clearly or concentrate. She needs time (also called "space") to get a better overview about what is going on in her life, including your relationship.

Call her once a week for about 15 mins and ask her how she is doing. Don't talk relationships or she will feel pressured. She may want to talk more than once a week, if so that's a good sign for you.

It's ok to let her know you still care, but don't say much more about it.

Good luck! George
