I DO STILL LOVE HER. I WOULD LIKE TO BE WITH HERSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: HEY THERE, MY EX AND I BROKE UP 6 MONTHS AGO, BUT FOR ANOTHER 3 MONTHS IT WAS IF WE WERE STILL TOGETHER. THEN FOR A MONTH OR SO SHE INSISTED TO ACT LIKE WE WERE BROKE UP. A MONTH AGO SHE MET ANOTHER GUY WHO SHE'S NOW DATING AND SHE TOLD ME TO LEAVE HER ALONE. I CALLED, SHE SAID STOP. A MONTH WENT BY, DIDN'T HEAR FROM HER. I MOVED INTO A NEW PLACE, CLEANED UP MY DISORDERLY LIFE A LITTLE. THEN I WAS TOLD BY A COWORKER TO CALL HER FRIENDS PHONE AND LEAVE A MESSAGE SAYING THAT I TRIED TO BE HER FRIEND, SHE DOSEN'T SEEM TO WANT TO BE, I DON'T CARE ANYMORE, HAVE A NICE LIFE. INSTANTLY, HER FRIEND AND HER WERE CALLING MY PHONE. I DIDN'T ANSWER. SHE CALLED EVERY OTHER DAY FOR A WEEK. CALLING 5-7 TIMES EACH DAY. FINALLY AT THE END OF THE WEEK I PICKED UP. SHE WAS SUPRISED I WAS VERY CHIPPER. SHE ASKED HOW I WAS DOING, I ASKED HER IN RETURN. THEN SHE ASKS IF I HAD A GIRLFRIEND. MY PHONE THEN WENT DEAD BEFORE I COULD ANSWER. I GOT MORE MINUTES A COUPLE DAYS LATER. THE PHONE CALLS START AGAIN. SO I ANSWER AFTER A COUPLE OF TIMES. ONCE AGAIN, HEY, SO HOW ARE YOU DOING? GOOD. AND YOU? SHE SAYS," I'M DOING VERY GOOD" OVER DOING THE "VERY". SHE CONTINUES,"I MISS YOU, A LITTLE BIT. BUT I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T BECAUSE I HAVE A BOYFRIEND." I RESPONDED, "JUST BECAUSE YOU MAY CARE FOR SOMEONE DOSEN'T MEAN YOU WANT TO SLEEP WITH THEM." SHE GIGGLED? IS THAT FUNNY? THEN SHE ASKED,"DON'T YOU THINK WERE BOTH HAPPY NOW BECAUSE WE MOVED ON?" I SAID,"NOT EXACTLY." THEN SHE SAYS, "PLEASE TELL ME YOU'VE MOVED ON? RIGHT?" I SAY, "YEPPP". "BUT HEY, I KINDA GOT TO LET YOU GO, OK." SO BRIEFLY, I SEEM TO GET VERY MIXED MESSAGES FROM THIS. WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON WHAT SHE'S FEELING/THINKING? ANY ADVICE? I DO STILL LOVE HER. I WOULD LIKE TO BE WITH HER, IF SHE DECIDED THAT SHE STILL WANTED TO BE WITH ME. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP... TAYLOR P.S. SHE'S JUST 19 AND STILL IN H.S., I'M 22 WE STARTED DATING WHEN SHE WAS 17 AND I WAS 20. THIS LAST MONTH WAS THE LONGEST WE HAVEN'T SPOKE IN OVER A YEAR. Our Suggestion: Sounds like she wants to be friends. The conversation you recounted sure sounds that way. My advice, if she calls again, is to make sure she knows you still love her. You haven't made that clear to her. Also, I would recommend that you start answering your phone. Try to build a friendship with her and who knows what might develop. Good luck!
