im so in love with my friend, we used to want to be together but i went to school so we friends, he has a new girl who treats him awful and spends all his time with me, see the thing is he often says how perfect i am, but he never be like lets get together, he wanna try with her.

i need advice on what to do, i asked him, he said he thinks about it but our friendship is worth more, i cant get over him you know, if i could it wouldnt mean as much, but it does, i love him and im in love with him, i dont know what to do. help me please with some advice, thanx.



Our Suggestion:
Well first, it's never good to break up an existing relationship on purpose to try something else. If he's willing to do that to her, he might be just as willing to do that to you if someone else interesting came around. So it's actually a very good thing that he's going to stick by his current girl to try to make it work.

If she's really that bad, then their relationship will fail. A relationship should be about two happy people caring for each other, not about one using the other. So he'll be single again.

Just about every great relationship in the world began with two great friends getting closer together. And just about every one of those had the fear of losing that friendship, since it was so wonderful. But they got through it for the greater reward of the partnership they got *in addition to* their friendship.
