She told me she doesn't want to break up with me, but I'm confused a littleSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hi, my problem is this: My gf and I have been together for 6 months. Everything was great, and then the arguing started. And as everyone knows, arguing is natural, it's part of life. Anyway, our recent arguments were about her not feeling like I was doing my part in the relationship, like helping out with pet bills, house bills, etc. She felt as though I was taking advantage of her, which I wasn't and didn't ever intend. We live together, and we both love each other very much, at least we both told each other that every day. And due to this fight, she then told me not to come to the house, don't worry about the dogs, etc. Then she told me she wanted to break up with me. Just like that. I told her that if she ever loved me that she would at least give me another chance. She said she would, and I still tell her I love, her, but now she's not saying it back. She tells me she needs her space, etc. So I am giving it to her. I don't want to lose her. I've told her this many times. Now, occasionally, I stay at the house again, even sleep with her, but no sex. She seems a little distant and cold, but she told me she still loves me and misses me. She thinks that this space will do us both good. I agree, but I told her I don't want her to go far. So, that's about where I am now. I told her before that I can't stop thinking about her, and she used to answer me back in the same way. But not now. Is she just going to need some space, and eventually come back to me, or should I beat her to the punch, and just break it off to avoid heartbreak? She told me she doesn't want to break up with me, but I'm confused a little. Please give me some advice. Thank You Our Suggestion: My advice is to talk with her not with me. Show her what you wrote to me and say you want to talk about it. You were quite honest and now she deserves the same. You may still end splitting up but at least you've done it above board.
