What do I do to try to get her back?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I started seeing my girlfriend whom is 17 about to turn 18, for 3 months now. Everything was magnificent we both fell in love. she fell in love w/ me before i did w/ her. we were always together for 2 months tell she had to go back home after the summer ended to cape cod where she was originaly from. She was here working in orlando for the summer thats how we meet. Well since were in love we both agreed on long distance. Things were going good tell just recently she browk things off. Her reason was that she had too many things in her life going on right now and that we were both headed in two different directions. I told her that once she was out of high school, this being her last year, I would move in w/ her up there. At first she was ok w/ that but later started to say she might want to take a year off before attending college to travel Europe. I said ok then ill wait. She came back saying no i cant do that to you. And claimed we need to take this relationship 1 day at a time. 2 weeks later after that convo. she dumped me. She said All my clubs and classes and stress from family issues are killing me right now I cant continue this relationship. I was crippled. I love this women to death. I tried to change her mind at first durring the breakup, but to no avail. Herd nothing from her tell a week later. She chatted w/ me online a bit. The conversation was so awkward. I didnt beg to come back to her or nothing I just asked how her family was an was throwing out jokes. She barely said a word. I dont get it she was the one to try to talk to me. So since i felt awkward I said "Well its getting late id better get to bed, tell your family I said Howdy! And tell your lil' sister to keep up that flute practice she just might be in the boston orchestra 1 day! And for you I hope all your plans work out... Take care, Goodnight." She responded back to me w/ "Ok, nite" Thats it?.. it left me hurt. I just recently sent her an email saying Now that im your best friend (cause thats what she said i was to her when she dumped me) Just remmember that ill always be there for you when you need me and that I still love you, always will. Bla bla bla... some other nice things. But its been a week now an no call from her no email back nothing. And i know her she checks her email daily. What do I do to try to get her back? Our Suggestion: Remain best friends with her. Call her once a week to find out how she is doing, to let her know you still care, and to maintain contact. Don't mention your relationship unless she does. Be cheerful and keep the call short--15 mins. She should find this agreeable since it is the relationship she wanted. It should help you too-- whether she remains distant or gets closer. Anything more might make her feel pressured. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
