I Think He's CheatingSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hey..I need your advice...I am totally in love wiht my boyfriend...We've been together for 6 and 1/2 months...and I love him with all of my heart top to bottom.... My problem is I got suspicious the other day because I got in trouble and I told my boyfriend..I'll call him anytime so stay by the phone..instead he went to sleep...and I called about 25 times all together..all that day and all that night but no answer from anybody..So I told him I honestly thought he was cheating on me..because it's kind of obvious..and He says he's not but...It's not that... he keeps going to his friend's down the street every night after he leaves my house... and he says he loves me and he won't do anything to interfere with me and him but I still cant seem to take his word for whatever he's doing down there... He's 15 and I'm 13...I need ur help...please.... Our Suggestion: One of the biggest destroyers of relationships is one person thinking the other is cheating, even when there's no proof. The fact that he doesn't answer the phone is only proof that he didn't pick up the phone. It doesn't prove anything else. Relationships are based on trust - on the trust that you and your partner care for each other, are focussed on each other and put each other's concerns above any others. That's the reason you two are together, shoulder to shoulder against the world. If you can't trust your partner, you either need to work on things so you DO or find a new partner. So the issue is, why don't you trust him. Many times it comes down to being insecure - feeling that if your partner had the chance he'd run off with someone else because you're not good enough for him. I have a big how-to set on jealousy and dealing with it - http://www.romanceclass.com/miscr/howto/jealousy/index.asp it might be good to go through this. If you need some extra reassurance while you try to fix your trust issues, maybe get him a cell phone and just call him when you're worried. Or, if he's always at a certain friend's house, just call him there! That way you can prove to yourself that he is where he says he is, you reinforce that he can be trusted and you stop questioning his honesty. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
