He left and we haven't talked sinceSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My ex and I were high school sweethearts. After high school I went away to college for a year and dated someone for nine months. (My ex visited me in college about twice and it seemed we still had some feelings but nothing really happened)I then transferred to a college back home and ran into him over the summer. He called and invited me to party he was having. I was still with my nine month bf at the time, towards the end of summer I broke up with my nine month bf and started to hang out with my high school sweetheart again but didn't want him to be my bf because I had just gotten out of a relationship. This lasted for a year and a half, we even traveled cross country together. I was feeling like he was more of my friend and I was becoming unattracted to him not physically but sexually. We drifted and both saw other people. After about four months of dating someone new, I woke up and just felt I wanted my sweetheart back forever. When I called him to come over and talk, I told him, and to my surprise, he didn't want me. For two years now, him being single the entire time (random hookups with other girls and I did that with guys as well), me and my sweetheart have been sleeping together and hanging out about once a week. I have told him how much I love him and want to try over. He told me he still loves me, and if we got back together he'd live with me, and he says he sees us together in the future. He says right now he's lacking will for having a girlfriend and doesn't want to commit. He has treated me badly but I always treat him good. We recently had a falling out when he told me he wanted to move in with his brother. I packed his stuff that was at my place, including a ring he'd bought me a year ago (when we wern't dating) and cards he had given me along with clothes and his belongings, he left and we haven't talked since. As of now it's only been a week but I'm afraid he will never come around. I know that we both love each other. What should I do? Our Suggestion: Sorry you are in this situation. You need to maintain regular contact with him as a friend. Call him once a week just to see how he is doing, to let him know you still care, and to maintain contact. Be cheerful, don't talk about your relationship, and limit the call to 15 min. Hope this works out for you! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
