We met 3 years ago on highschool when I started to like him I did nothing to get closer with him I just tried to go to same places as him and there hoped he come and talk to me. The problem is both of us are extremely shy so now 3 years after that I am exactly were I started. When we are on parties we say hi but nothing more, sometimes I catch him looking at me but he never approaches. Right now I really dont know what to do to get closer to him and talk to him, also I dont really expect him to come to me. Whenever you see him look him straight in the eyes, say to him in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name, and give him a big smile. Keep doing this until you feel comfortable to ask him how he is doing...he will say fine... and you say great! Eventually, a conversation will begin between you two and the shyness will be less.
