I have met a girl 6 weeks ago..Now we have been getting very close during that time and just recently slept with each other for the first time..We are from completly different backrounds ahe is from "old money" and is used to country clubs, cocktail parties, yuppie stuck up things..I am from a great middleclass family and I was brought up very well just not with all that lavish lifestyle..Anyways she is not very snobby for the most part but when we discuss a possible future relationship she is not sure if I would be able to fit into her "backround". Now I know she really likes me but I think that is a horrible way to look at the future I mean love doesnt discriminate it can happen between any two people regardless of race, backround, etc..etc I can see myself falling for this girl but I dont know how I should feel about the comment about not fitting into her "society". I have told her she has to figure that out on her own, I already am liked by the mother , but that doesnt mean anything right now, b/c shes from the same "society" and I know she wants to see her daughter with someone from their backround..I can mix with any type of person but my requirements for a partner are not based on my backround..What do I do ? Should I break this off now to see if she realizes the backround stuff doesnt matter or not ? I dont know how to handle this I dont want to get hurt later on b/c she sees that marrying a guy with her backround is so important that she drops me..Please advise Our Suggestion: If she is already talking about class differences, it will only get worse.
