Should I see if she is interested in me first?

I was kind of hoping you could answer this question. Me and my ex girlfriend have been broken up now for close to a year. We went out for about 1 1/2 years and we thought we'd be together forever at one point before it got bad. She fell for this other guy right after we broke up, and they lasted for about 10 months and then broke up. She got her heart crushed because she thought she loved him more than anything in the world.

In the mean time, me and her stayed in touch as friends, and I've been helping her through this tough time for her. Is there a chance that even after about a year of being broken up that she could start to have feelings for me again? Or, is there a such thing as just too much time going by in between for two people to ever feel for one another again? I always thought friendship is the key to a good relationship, but sometimes I wonder if that's all she wants. We connect really well, and she knows that I'm there for her 100 percent. I've definately changed from the ass I was before when we were together, and I'm just hoping that she notices and maybe wants to try it again.

Should I maybe bring up asking her if she would want to maybe hang out and go on a date, or should I see if she is interested in me first? I'm not sure if it's smart to just see where our friendship goes because I'm scared she'll find some rebound guy and I'll be stuck waiting another year for my chance. I guess I just have to wait it out and see, and if it's meant to happen then fate will open up her eyes to me and see that I've changed for a reason and it's because I learned from my mistakes and just want to do whatever it is I can to make her happy.



Our Suggestion:
You should let her know how you feel.

You don't want to wait another year to have a chance to be with her.

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
