My ex boyfriend of 2 years and I have been apart for over a year now. In that year, he's contacted me when he comes home on breaks wanting to hang out. He tried really hard to get me back right after the break up, but i declined. We've hung out only like 3 times since the breakup and twice it has resulted in sex. He says the idea of a relationship with me again scares him. He also said that he wouldn't be my boyfriend right now. But then why does he keep contacting me when he's home? He gets p*ssed when I tell him that I hooked up with an old ex and p*ssed when his best friend wants to hang out with me.I can't tell if he still cares or what. I know he still finds me attractive because he told me so, but I don't know if he still has feelings. He doesn't really say anything that would make me think he does still have feelings, but I dont know if that is just a front. He says that he likes a girl at school, but he isnt with her and hasn't been with anyone since me.Also, he blocks me on AIM sometimes, but then contacts me again eventually. Is there a possibility that he still cares for me? If so, how do i get him back?

It's possible that he still cares for you.

But you are going to have to get better information before proceeding unless you want to throw caution to the wind and just ask him out.

If you want to try to get him back maintain regular communications on the phone (once a week?) to ask how he is doing, to let him know you care.
