We were happy together and we'd made plans to get engaged this year, had a ring picked out but the past few months things started to go wrong I'd lost my job and could not pay my bills and her parents offered to take me in. After that things started going bad we lost open communication with each other and to make matters worse I did not fit in well with her family. I made a lot of mistakes told some lies mostly to cover my own mistakes and I was having issues with getting a new job. It got to the point where just after New Years she asked me to leave I love her very much and I'd do just about anything to make up for it but she wont talk to me. She said she still wants to be friends but her mom hates me and she listens to everything her mom says. I want to get her back but I just dont know how to deal with a controlling mother who is just adding fuel to the fire. For the both of us this was our first serious relationship with another person neither of us have ever been here before we were very close but now we dont even talk can you help? Our Suggestion: First thing to do is to get a job. That is the root of all your problems. I'm sure it isn't easy to find a job this time of year, but if you don't put 100% of your time into looking you will never find one.
