Visitor's Question:
Hi, I've emailed you before, I think you might remember me, I like a girl who said to a friend of mine that she doesn't like me.
Well, I sugested talking to her face to face, but I don't want to do it, because I'm afraid of her reaction, like I don't know waht I would do if she stopped talking to me, should I give it time and try to be a better friend of her? I want to make her as happy as I can as a friend, but I'm not a very funny guy, I'm kind of serious about everything and I don't smile a lot (I'm trying to solve the smile issue). I don't want to rush a great friendship with her, because I think that would make her uncomfortable and I don't want to be rejected. I want a friendship and if possible I want a good realtionship.
Some time ago I started to hang out with her and her friends, but I've became a better friend of some of her friends than of her, altough my intention was to get closer of her, it didn't worked very well.
What can I do to become a better friend of her without making her geting tired of me?
The last thing I want is to make her get tired of me.

Please, I really need your help.
Thank you very much.

Our Suggestion:
You can tell when she is starting to get tired of you... she won't smile as much, she will cut conversations short, and won't add much to the conversation.

To be a better friend you should concentrate on being nice, sympathetic, considerate, honest, trusting, and caring. Most people are attracted to those qualities. You should get along fine with her if you are kind to her.

Good luck! George
