I said I would pay him and let it slideSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My boyfreind and I were going out for over a year when he lent me money to get a car and more to get myself out of a really bad situation. I have been working full time and going to school full time since we first met, we were set up on a blind date. Every time we fought it was usually about the money, but he would always say things to hurt my feelings, despite the money we had a great relationship. Well about a week ago he broke up with me saying things like I was just using him, that I was only out to get what I could get, and that since he moved he does not know if I am really working or going to school. Is it possible that what's said in anger does not mean anything or is it hidden in a persons subconscience somewhere? I know that I said I would pay him and let it slide, I was not making regular payments to him but he was getting paid. What should I do I still love him, do I just wait to see if he wants to give it another try later or do I get over him and move on? Our Suggestion: It's only been a week. Give him a call every now and then (once a week?)to find out how he is doing, to let him know you care, and to maintain contact. Be cheerful, don't discuss you relationship, and keep the call to 15 mins. This way he will have his space and you will have some contact. And, make some sort of payment if you can. Good luck!
