She may change her mind somedaySuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: i have really liked my friend for a few years now and i was always uncertain of how she felt, there has always been this "uncomfortableness". about two months ago she called me and brought it up and we talked for over an hour. i poured out my heart to her and she was shocked, she didnt know at all. it turns out we both think each other is perfect, the only difference is she doesnt like me like that. she told me she wants to best friends, she thinks of me that highly. before i hung up i had to ask her if she thought things would ever change with us and we'd be more than friends, and she replied "i dont know....it might, but i'll say this, if it does i will tell you, i wont hesitate, ill tell you i want to go out". i said "ok well let me say this, if you change your mind the answer will always be yes, you will always have an open invitation with me" and then she said ok. i figured maybe someday if we became best friends she might start thinking about people or us and start to think about giving it a chance. i think her response made me happy. but i cant be sure. since then we have been ok but ive been stand-offish cause im kind of sad. we work together two days a week so we talk and joke and stuff, but dont hang out, mainly cause im kind of avoiding it. friends i have shared this with have told me now that we have gotten this out in the open and she knows how i feel and has this info in her mind, she may change her mind someday. am i right to be cautiously optomistic about what she said? what do you think? Our Suggestion: I'm with your friends. You should feel optimist that once you are friends for a while she will start developing stronger feelings for you. Be there for her and listen to her expressing her feelings. And, hopefully, it won't be long before it's kissing time. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
