Visitor's Question:
I have been dating my girlfriend for about a year and a half we have just recently broke up. i finally realized that it was all my fault because i got mad at the stupid little things that she did. I now know that i can change for her because i am so deeply in love with her and I don't want to lose her like this. I asked her for one chance to prove myself to her, to prove that i could not get mad at the little things that i used to, but she will not give me that one chance to prove myself because she thinks that I cannot cahnge. the two weeks before we broke up, we had a lot of fights and she tells me that the reason for her breaking up with me is because of me getting mad and because she doesn't have the same feelings about me any more. Is she just confused because we were fighting so much or does she actually not have feelings for me anymore?
we still talk but i can't live with just being friends with her. i need to get her back into my life because it is not the same. how do i do this? do i just hang out with her as friends and prove that i can be fun and not get mad or what? i need help i don't know how to go about this anymore.

Our Suggestion:
You answered your question yourself.

Stay friends with her and show her how changed you can become.

Remember that you need to treat her well but you also can't start getting mad with friends, teachers, or relatives. If you do she will know that you still have that anger in your system. She wouldn't trust you.

It would help if you thought about your anger and where it is coming from. Once you discover the sources, you can try to address those things that make you angry. If you can do that, you won't get mad so often.

Good luck! George
