Having the First Kiss
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old FemaleHow can you tell if someone wants you to kiss them or not? Or even better, is there any not-too-obvious way to let them know that you would be okay with them kissing you? Also, if you close your eyes, how do you know what to do with everything else? Not talking French-kiss or anything like that, just a good idea about a first-ever real kiss. Thank you!
RomanceClass.com AdviceA kiss should never be an unexpected attack. It should be a comfortable intimacy that both of you want. The easiest way to know someone wants to be kissed is to have already built up a level of comfort with touching. You should already be hugging hello and goodbye. You can kiss on the hand or the cheek as the next step, as a friendly hello and goodbye.
So if you are at the point that you're kissing on the cheek hello and goodbye, kissing on the lips isn't that much of a stretch. If it's OK to kiss on the cheek and you kiss on the lips, it's not a stoning offense. It's more of a "ok the kiss is somewhere nearby but elsewhere" sort of thing.
So work your way into it slowly, and it'll be quite fine!
