She didn't appreciate it!

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
After setting up a dinner date in a quite restaurant and being the perfect gentleman throughout the evening (showing up with a single white rose, holding doors open, pulling seats out, lighting cigarettes, standing when she returns from the restroom) light cocktails at quaint bar and walking her to her door, she quickly enters apt and casually says over her "thanks". Is this worth pursuing or did I overdo it a bit?

RomanceClass.com Advice
People can *easily* be intimidated by too grand a gesture. They don't know what to do, or they think you "expect" something of them in return. She appreciated it. Maybe she was afraid you were going to do something TOO serious and she wasn't ready for that step. Talk to her, and see how she feels now. Maybe this was just too much for her.
