Boyfriend in the picture

I have this friend that I really like. I told her I liked her and since then we have grown pretty close. We give each other big hugs and she said I love you to me and signs her AIM messages xoxo. She has a bf now though. Is it ok if I give her a kiss on the cheek when we hug and say I love you. She's 17 im 19 by the way.

You need to deal with the boyfriend issue.

Say to her "I love you too, but I am concerned about you having a boyfriend."
Ask her why she treats you so nice when she has a boyfriend.

Be ready for her to say that she considers you a best friend and that she loves you as a friend. If she replies that she loves you as more than a friend then you need to suggest that she needs to do something about the boyfriend because you feel uncomfortable with him still being in the picture.

Don't encourage her to cheat on her boyfriend by continuing this blossoming romance.
