Melancholic / Black Bile
In the Four Temperaments system, a person who had too much black bile in them was known as "melancholic". Bile is a liquid made by your liver, and as you might imagine, black was a negative color. We still even in modern times talk about people being in "black moods". Melancholic was someone who was depressed, focusing on what bad things might happen. They tend to be loners.
Treatment for someone who was Melancholic would be to help them appreciate the happy things in life.
