Someone for everyone?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
It's been said "there's someone for everyone". if that is true, then why can't life be like the movies, TV or fairy tales? why can't a guy(specifically, ME)approach a girl and say "Hi, I've noticed you for a long time...from afar, and I'd like to ask you out. would you care to go out with me?" and then she accepts. I know how women are: they think a guy ONLY wants sex(and maybe some women are the same way. sex is all they want from a guy). but I don't want just sex. I'm not even looking for that. I just want to go out with a girl, hold her hand, listen to her talk, stare into her eyes, put my arms around her, read poetry to/with her, be with her, for dinner, a movie, a romantic boat ride, a picnic, or whatever she wants. just as long as I'm with her and appreciate her. why is it so hard to to meet someone if this is all I want to do? I'm a nice guy and I just want to be given the chance to show it(not just open doors for women and receive the complimentary "thank you"). but I guess, as the saying goes, "nice guys finish last"(because maybe all that women DO want a guy for is sex). I swear that I feel my heart will one day explode or kill me.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Things don't work the way you describe.

You can't walk up to a woman and ask her out, out of the blue.

You need to build a relationship first by saying hi, joking with her, chatting with her, until you reach the point where she is comfortable with you and wants to go out on a date.

This can be hard work, but that's the way to go.

Good luck! George
