Should I let him go or fight?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleAbout three years ago I dated my first boyfriend (I was 16) for a month and a half. I broke up with him because of some dumb issue. He kept calling me now and again for two years, I rejected him every time. Some months ago I found myself missing him, but did nothing because he had a girlfriend.
Three weeks ago, a week after his girlfriend dumped him, he called me and we decided to start seeing eachother, he made it very clear that it was casualy, so in the hopes of not coming off clingy and pushing him away (and also not getting hurt), I decide to behave "cool" and treat him as a friend, avoiding telling him that I cared, even when he'd ask. He went back with his ex, he told me that it was because it was the "comfortable" thing to do, and that he doesn't know exactly what he wants, I think it is because I never told him how I felt, so I did so, I told him I cared, that he broke my heart and that I can't be friends with him right now. I want to get him back but I don't know if I should try to, I don't know if I should take distance, because my distance was what drove him away in the first place, or if I should try talk with him to solve things and tell him how I feel (the opposite of what I've done so far), because that's the number one thing everybody tells you no to do. What should I do??
RomanceClass.com AdviceContinue to contact him and let him know you care.
Don't try to talk for a long time...maybe 15 min every week. Just find out how he is doing and tell him you care for him.
If he breaks up with his girlfriend again, my guess is that he will come back your way.
Good luck! George
