I want break up...

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months, then broke up once.
Then we got back together and we have been together for almost 4 months.

We always argue a lot, and fight a lot, and we can't see each other very often because he lives an 2 hours away.
He also is bipolar and emotionally unstable, which bothers me.
We're still in high school (different high schools), so I think breaking up is not a big deal. However he really loves me and cares for me, but I do not feel the same.

How can I explain to him how things aren't going well?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Since he's emotionally unstable this could be a difficult situation, so the quicker you end the relationship the better off you both will be. He doesn't need to be in a rocky romance and you want out. If he hasn't already figured out that things aren't going well, then telling him could have some unpleasant consequences. I think you should talk to one or both of his parents first, if possible. At least talk to your parents and see if they might have some insight here. A bipolar person can react to bad news in an unhealthy way and those near him will need to know what's going on.
