I Cheated on her, I Want her Back
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleMy girlfriend and I broke up this past september. We lived together for 5 years. I got attracted to another girl who works with me and we got intimate.
Im seeing a therapist cause this breakup is tearing me apart. I want my girfriend back I really do but how can I get across to her that I want to be loyal to her. My Doc says I have been depressed for 2 years could this also be a cause of me cheating.
RomanceClass.com AdviceIt's really great that you're seeing a therapist about this. So many times it is almost impossible to see what is going wrong - but when a third party that is objective talks to you about things, suddenly the pieces fall into place and you find a solution to the issues.
Rebuilding trust is a HUGELY difficult task because trust is the cornerstone of any relationship. It takes a LOT of time and effort. I have tips on it here -

but tell her that you're in therapy, that you are taking this VERY seriously and doing 100% everything you can to rebuild the situation so it never happens again. Hopefully she will see that you are serious, that you are doing everything that possibly can be done and are making a strong commitment to a new way of life. If anything would let her try again with trust, what you are doing would be it. Maybe suggest that she come to your therapist with you, so she can get through her anger and hurt and be capable of healing from it.
