RomanceClass.com AdviceThis is really common and happens to lots of people. She definitely cares for you - she's your best friend after all. So it might be that she values your friendship so much that she's afraid of damaging it by having you guys try to move forward and have it not work. Or it could be that she's built up a fantasy of what her "ideal real boyfriend" would be like, based on movies, and hasn't realized yet that the *real* ideal boyfriend is your best friend. That all those other things that movies promote as being "cool" in a boyfriend are pretty meaningless after the first week or two.
In any case, accept that you're in love with her. It's a great feeling, and lots of people dream about finding someone they can truly love. People who are in love spend a lot of time together and talk together - things you do anyway. Maybe in time she'll realize that she *does* have a great partner in you already, and that her other misconceptions about "what makes a boyfriend" are wrong. And she'll also realize that it's worth it to move closer with you because it could greatly enhance your relationship together, not necessarily harm it. But give it time.
