Needs a break
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old MaleMy this girl had been dating for awhile, she's a senior and I'm a junior. Last week, she approached me and said that she feels like we need to take a break. She said that she has a lot of personal issues right now and can't devote enough of herself to me. She stressed about how much she cared about me. I was shocked, and initially didn't talk to her for about a day. The next day I went and talked to her, basically assuring her that I was okay with her decision, and didn't want anything to come between us. I thought we were okay then, but she didn't call me that weekend, and when I tried to talk to her on Monday she responded very vaguely. I'm so confused because she tells mutual friends of ours how much she likes me, but doesn't seem to want to be around me anymore. I really don't want to lose her, but I fear that if we don't at least stay close we never will. What should I do?
RomanceClass.com AdviceShe is stressed out and wants a break... or needs space. Please give her what she is asking for and don't contact her except maybe a short email each week telling her you hope she is doing well and that you still care for her. This is the best approach. Pushing her will only make things worse.
Good luck,
George
