He's in Colorado, she's in California

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My boyfriend and I met in Colorado. We have been dating for three years now. The last couple of months have been really hard on us. I took a job offer in California about six months ago in July. In August he decided he wanted to move to California so we could be together. He told me he wanted to get married. So he came out with all of his stuff in a moving truck and we signed a year lease for a home. He tried finding a job out here but at the time no one was hiring. So he flew back to Colorado to work for a couple of months to save up some money. It is now March!!! He isn't making much money in Colorado, and refuses to fly back out here to look for a job. He keeps telling me just one more month, one more month... We are now fighting almost every other day over our FINANCES. What should I do? Do I tell him its off, and just come and get his things? Please help.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Finances are a tough situation to deal with. I am sorry you two are in this situation.

He signed the lease with you so he needs to come back to California to help pay for his part. Anything he earns in CA is better than the way things are now.

Try to convince him to come back and look for a job, it is only a matter of time before he finds one. Surely he doesn't expect to stay in CO for the rest of his life!

The longer he procrastinates the worse it gets. He needs to move back to CA and look for a job.

You probably know all of this, but there isn't much else to say.

Hope this helps a little!
