She is so gorgeous and I am not good looking at all
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleI'm 16 and I'm in high school. There's this girl in my last class period and she is the most wonderful, amazing, beautiful girl I have ever met. Actually, I have been in love with her since 7th grade, close to the beginning, and we are both in 11th grade now, half way through it. She is good friends with one of my friends and all 3 of us are in this class. My friend doesn't know I like her so much and the only reason I ever talk to her is because I'm with my friend while he is talking to her. I have caught her looking at me across the classroom once or twice and when I catch her eye she looks away quickly. She used to sit in front of me and when I talked to her she would be turned around looking into my eyes and smiling. She laughs when I do something stupid or when I'm trying to talk to her and I choke on my own words. I met her at her job one night and just she and I talked for about 30 minutes about pretty much everything and it was the best night of my life. I really want to tell her how I feel but it's very hard to catch her alone and when our mutual friend isn't around, and even if I could catch her, I know I would chicken out like I have been doing for 4 and a half years. In 7th grade I got my sister to ask her to dance with me and she replied "If he's manly enough, he will ask me himself." I'm very shy and I didn't end up asking her and she is so gorgeous and I am not good looking at all. What should I do?
RomanceClass.com AdviceAre you going to be so shy for the rest of your life?
Never having a girlfriend or a wife or family? If that's what you want for yourself fine.
On the other hand, if you want to go out with girls and enjoy life you need to work on yourself.
The first thing you need to get is guts. It's like muscles, you have to exercise them before they get strong. So be brave in all the little things in life and pretty soon you will be braver in the big things like asking this girl out. Go out of your way to smile at girls and say hi whenever you get a chance. This gets you used to interacting with a lot of people.
As far as this girl goes, get her email or whatever and contact her on the Internet. This way you can talk to her alone without your friend there. Or you could go to where she works and ask her out there. These are obvious solutions and the reason you haven't thought of them is because you are too shy. Get over it. Fight hard or you will never win. Your going to win some and lose some so don't let the losses get you down.
Good luck! George
