17 Year Age DifferenceWe often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions. Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Female I am 20 years old and have been dating a 37 year old man for one year. I am so in love with him, I love spending time with him, no matter what we do together, and I know he feels the same way. He is my best friend. I want our love life to be amazing, I want to satisfy him and be satisfied myself. However, he goes through periods where he is unable to perform in the bedroom, and then a few weeks later everything will be fine again. We have talked about this a few times. He says that he thinks this has something to do with my age, that he gets hung up on our age difference. I've done everything I can think of to help him when we're in the mood, but I am not always successful. Any suggestions on how I can improve our relations and help him get over our age difference, if that is in fact whats causing our problem? User Submitted Advice from a 31-40 year old Female OMG OMG I can't believe that ANYONE would give such advice. LOVE IS LOVE SEX IS SEX At 33 I have been in a 6 year relationship (and engaged to be married this year) with a man who is my senior by 20 years and let me tell you sexually I CAN'T keep up with him and it has NOTHING to do with a "little blue pill." All people age differently ....there are "old" people at 20, 30 and beyond but the end result is this...someone who loves you for you is hard to find ...someone you can be FRIENDS with is the most important thing because the ONE thing in the "advice" that was true is that SEX becomes less important as time goes on whether you are in a relationship with a 20 year old- 30 year old or an 80 year old. If you have nothing in common and you're just together for the sex it isn't going to work anyway The Original Question and RomanceClass Answer
