17 Year Age DifferenceWe often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions. Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Female I am 20 years old and have been dating a 37 year old man for one year. I am so in love with him, I love spending time with him, no matter what we do together, and I know he feels the same way. He is my best friend. I want our love life to be amazing, I want to satisfy him and be satisfied myself. However, he goes through periods where he is unable to perform in the bedroom, and then a few weeks later everything will be fine again. We have talked about this a few times. He says that he thinks this has something to do with my age, that he gets hung up on our age difference. I've done everything I can think of to help him when we're in the mood, but I am not always successful. Any suggestions on how I can improve our relations and help him get over our age difference, if that is in fact whats causing our problem? User Submitted Advice from a 31-40 year old Male Follow your heart OMG. I was just browsing through and read this blog. i can't speak for other guys but i myself (37) feel i am actually peaking sexually NOW. I was totally oblivious to the needs of women and enjoying sex @ 18. I was clueless!!! Now, i can't wait to please a hottie. I think now for the first time i am very open to experimenting in the bedroom. i find myself thinking of woman constantly!!!! More than ever!! It sounds like ur experience was negative but I highly doubt that is the norm. In fact I do know of a couple with a 16 year age difference that have been married for 15 years and they are totally in love and thinking about adopting a child. Again, i am no expert, but love is love. gay, straight, old, young, whatever. Life is way too short to calculate every move. Life would really suck if u settled for a person just b/c they are close to ur age and spent the rest of ur life wondering how life "could have been" if you followed ur heart.
