I want my ex back, what should I do??We often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions. Original Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Male My girlfriend and I broke up 3 weeks ago. Reason number one was that when my brother graduated from College, my girlfriend and I went to see my whole family that came to see him graduate. However, there was not a ticket for her to the graduation. I thought I would see my brother the day before graduation and that way I could show my respects and then spend the rest of the time with my girlfriend. I never got to see him the day before graduation. All I got was a phone call saying for me to come to his graduation. I made the decision to go and wanted my girl to stay at the hotel for 3 hrs. When I told her the decision, she acted like she was hurt. I told her she was being "selfish" because if it were reverse I would have waited for her at the hotel. This led to me yelling at her. Then when we got home, my girlfriend's ex-husband is always, always calling her. They have a kid together, and I know that he needs to be in her life, but they act like best friends, which gets me jealous. I have told her he should only be in your life when it comes to your son, but he is in every part of his life and she even confides in him. This drove me crazy, and I broke up with her. A day or two later I called her and said we need to talk and she did not want too. She said she was tired of dealing with this and she was very hurt from the graduation trip because she felt that I was not by her side. I have tried to get her back: give her flowers and I even cried in front of her, but it just pushes her away. Then she says she wants to be friends. I tried to be friends with her, but I keep the conversation short, which she doesn't like, and then she told me she couldn't be friends with me either. She said this after I told her I was going out with my friend. Maybe she was jealous. So I don't know what she wants. She wants to be friends, but on her rules, and she doesn't want to get back, because she says she is confused and hurt. And I miss her. So what advise would you give me?? User Submitted Advice from a 21-30 year old Female Pain of Divorce I feel your pain. I just got a divorce with my husband and we have a 2 year old girl together. He was abusive and selfish. I tried marraige counseling but everything and everyone told me I should get out of this relationship. He now lives with his new girlfriend in another state and we share our daughter. Its the worst thing i could ever go through. I dont like how he moved on so quick even though i asked for the divorce, I hate that he never talks to me he only lets me barely talk to my daughter when i ask. He seems so happy but yet he didnt want the divorce. I miss him and I miss my family. I even asked him if we could have a second chance to see if we could fix our family, but he said he was done. I really dont understand. The Original Question and RomanceClass Answer
