I have a situation that I think will relate to what a lot of people are going through or have been through. I'm in love with my best friend. We've been friends for about four years and had our ups and downs like every friendship. We are both on vacation (separately) and I feel like I miss him more than I have ever. But he managed to tell me (a few days ago) a secret about his ex-girlfriend, also mentioning that I'm "the only person he can trust". He also tells me about he thinks other people are attractive, and never saying anything about me (And I'm not that bad looking!). How can approach the subject to see if he likes me without being incredibly straight forward and not using the words "Who do you like?" or "Do you like anybody?" and if I find out he does like me how do I initiate him to make the first move? Or should I avoid this at all means due to what he tells me about other girls?
