I'm Lying to Cover my PastWe often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions. Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Female My boyfriend and I broke up for about four months before we started going out again. During those months I was seeing a guy but only as "friends". I did kiss this "friend" a couple of times, though. Now that I am back with my old boyfriend he keeps asking me if I kissed anyone during the time that we weren't together. I told him I hadn't because I don't want to get him upset. I hate lying to him but I would really break his heart if I told him the truth. Should I keep on going with the story of not kissing anyone or should I tell him the truth?? Is it true that what you don't know does not hurt you??? User Submitted Advice from a 21-30 year old Male Dear Visitor, I hate to say this, because it sounds horrible, but I know that if I found out that my girlfriend had been kissing someone else, I would break up with her in a second. This is just from a guy's point of view, but I would definitely consider NOT telling him, simply because it would most likely end the relationship. If you truly love him, you'll make sure that sort of thing never happens again. I'm rooting for you. The Original Question and RomanceClass Answer
