People tell me that you never completely get over your first crushWe often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions. Original Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female Okay, I used to like this guy at school. I had a major crush on him for about a year but nothing came of it. As a matter of fact, he kind of started acting like a jerk this summer. For a while, I thought that he liked me, too, but now I know that he does not like me as anything more than a friend. I have started going out with another guy who is so sweet to me, he tells me that I am beautiful and that he loves me more than any other girl he has ever gone out with. I love him, too but yesterday I went to a school function and saw the guy I had the crush on. I realized that I have a small amount of feelings left for this guy and now I am confused. If I really care for my boyfriend, how can I still have lingering feelings for the other guy? I don't want to go out with the other guy because I really do care for my boyfriend but I am not sure if I am completely over the first crush. People tell me that you never completely get over your first crush. Is that true? Is it normal to still have a small amount of feelings for that guy?
