In your case yes they are friends and they "USE" to have sex. Whoop ti DOOOO it happens to a lot of people trust me. Honestly trust is major concern but meet the guy first dont judge him because of his friendship/past with your gf. Meet him and see what kind of guy he is maybe it wont be as bad as you think. Friends with benefits never become serious it is a level of understanding between two people that this is it and nothing else. Just meet the guy and if you still feel the same way then move on but in the end it might actually work out and one day all three of ya'll can hang out.
